About the Role

The purpose of this position is to independently perform and coordinate epidemiologic surveillance, studies, program evaluation, and community health assessment activities supporting service unit clinical, preventive, and public health programs. A REAL ID will be required beginning May 7, 2025, in accordance with 6 C.F.R. 37.5 (2021).

What You'll Do

  • Collect, validate, organize, and perform routine analysis of epidemiologic and health-related data using established methods and tools.
  • Draft written summaries and recurring reports for preventive medicine staff and service unit leadership.
  • Perform assigned portions of epidemiologic studies, surveys, and program evaluations using established protocols, methods, and procedures.
  • Participate in meetings with tribal, hospital, and community stakeholders to identify health priorities and information needs.
  • Assist with preparation of required tribal and Institutional Review Board (IRB) submission packages, approvals, and documentation under guidance.

Requirements

  • Upon receipt of instructions, applicants must complete all required background investigation forms within five (5) calendar days of issuance.
  • Timely completion is critical to avoid delays in processing or a determination of unsuitability.
