About the Role

You will serve as an Engineering Technician in the Shipboard Electrical Branch (262), Main Propulsion and Electrical Division (260), Engineering Department (200), Mid-Atlantic Regional Maintenance Center (MARMC) of MID ATLANTIC REGIONAL MAINTENANCE CTR.

What You'll Do

  • You will provide assistance mission degrading casualty reports or similar problems affecting major systems.
  • You will perform complex design calculations for new or modified ship systems under the oversight of an engineer.
  • You will provide distance and onboard Fleet Technical Assistance.
  • You will apply and interpret detailed requirements to modify, alter or install new equipment.
  • You will repair and subsequent test requirements for systems and equipment base on personal inspection or verification of specific conditions.
  • You will review drawings, specifications, and product data sheets.
  • You will identify deviations and prepare technical recommendations for engineering approval of waivers.
