This is a Direct Hire Authority (DHA) solicitation utilizing the DHA for Certain Personnel of the DoD Workforce to recruit and appoint qualified candidates to positions in the competitive service. About the Position: The incumbent will serve as an Engineering Technician with DPW (Directorate of Public Works) in Fort Bliss, TX.
What You'll Do
- →Serve as an official point of contact for all work requests.
- →Develop preliminary packages for assigned repair, construction, and renovation projects in accordance with the Annual Work Plan (AWP).
- →Visit work sites listed on work orders, discuss requirements of the request with tenants or the using activity to verify work requirement.
- →Collect additional information through personal observation/inspection at the job site and/or through necessary data prior to initiating design packages.
- →Assure completeness of data entered into the system, such as GFEBS, cProjects, etc., consulting originator to verify and correct any obvious errors.
- →Manage the overall coordination and execution of special projects and studies.
