You will serve as a ENGINEERING TECHNICIAN (NAVAL ARCHITECT) in the Engineering and Planning Department of PORTSMOUTH NAVAL SHIPYARD.
What You'll Do
- →You will plan and execute assignments and projects to meet required objectives.
- →You will ensure timelessness of assignments You will utilize engineering drawings, technical manuals, and/or other technical materials in the performance of naval architectural work.
- →You will develop plans associated with the functional design, performance and evaluation of various underwater structural systems.
- →You will negotiate and justify projects to managers on conflicting priorities.
- →You will be working 2nd shift.
Requirements
- ✓Applicants must meet the following Basic Requirements of the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) Qualifications Standards Manual: Applicants must possess In addition to meeting the basic entry qualification requirements, applicants must have specialized experience and/or directly related education in the amounts shown in the table below.
- ✓For the GS-09: 2 years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to a master's degree or master's or equivalent graduate degree.
- ✓For the GS-07: 1 year of graduate-level education COMBINATION OF EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: (IF APPLICABLE) Equivalent combinations of education and experience may be combined to meet the total qualification requirements.
