You will serve as an Engineering Technician (Mechanical) in the Engineering and Planning Department, SUBSAFE Program Office at PSNS and IMF.
What You'll Do
- →You will ensure the shipyard and intermediate maintenance facility's (IMF) instructions, procedures, directives, processes, production and quality programs comply with Fly-By-Wire and Submarine Safety (SUBSAFE) program requirements.
- →You will analyze and recommend quality improvements of complex shipyard programs that support critical submarine work.
- →You will review engineering instructions and procedures including ability to develop new approaches and modify standard practices, techniques, and/ or procedures.
- →You will manage and evaluate programs which encompass a wide variety of disciplines and functional organizations.
- →You will provide SUBSAFE program oversight for work in progress.
- →You will be responsible to interpret instructions involving quality assurance forms requirements.
