The primary purpose of this position is to perform comprehensive planning functions regarding base development duties covered by precedent, professional practice or policy. What You'll Do
- →Evaluates and recommends programs and development plans for new construction, renovation, and improvements of real property facilities, including utility systems, utilizing a professional knowledge of civil engineering.
- →Works with organizational managers, budgeting personnel, and higher engineering authority in developing and gaining approval for proposed facility programs/projects.
- →Coordinates projects with engineers in other disciplines or with architects.Represents the base in all areas of community planning at meetings, conferences, and hearings.
- →Maintains the Air Installation Compatible Use Zone (AICUZ) program.
- →Implements and maintains the program working directly with appropriate installation staff.
- →Implements the lnteragency/intergovernmental Coordination for Environmental Planning (IICEP) as it pertains to the BCP, the Housing Community Plan, AICUZ studies, transportation studies, and individual construction projects, etc.
