You will serve as an Engineer, in the role of USCG IPT Sustainment Enterprise Operations Team Lead, within the FMS AIR INTEGRATION USCG Division (01C50) of the FLEET C4I Department (01C00) at NIWC ATLANTIC.
What You'll Do
- →You will be accountable for meeting the cost, schedule, and performance expectations of the Sustainment Enterprise Operations Team within the USCG IPT with regards to planning, direction, and success of program development and research or technology.
- →You will manage high-ranking stakeholder requirements from external agencies which may include highly unstructured settings to justify, defend, negotiate, or settle matters involving significant or controversial issues.
- →You will represent the command within high level committees and groups with the responsibility to defend the activity's position, influence resource allocation, and effect changes to project goals.
- →You will manage the engineering and computer science methods and techniques in assessing the feasibility of new concepts for project/program requirements while evaluating accuracy of stakeholder needs and translating them into realization.
- →You will manage research, development, test, evaluation, engineering, integration and sustainment to meet mission requirements of the project(s), and manage the formulation of definition, organization and direction of major project(s)/program(s).
- →You will plan, monitor, control, and report on program activities through the development of Project Management and System Engineering Plans, schedules, Risk Management Plans, Resource Management plans, and other plans utilizing current processes.
Requirements
- ✓Applicants must meet the following basic education requirements of the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) Qualifications Standards Manual: Successful completion of a professional engineering degree.
- ✓Such education must demonstrate the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work of the position.
- ✓OR Current registration as an Engineer Intern (EI), Engineer in Training (EIT), or licensure as a Professional Engineer (PE) by any State, the District of Columbia, Guam, or Puerto Rico.

- ✓OR Successful completion of at least 60 semester hours of courses in the physical, mathematical, and engineering sciences and in engineering that included the courses specified in the basic requirements under paragraph A (above).
- ✓Ordinarily, there should be either an established plan of intensive training to develop professional engineering competence, or several years of prior professional engineering-type experience, e.g., in interdisciplinary positions.
