This is a developmental position leading to the full performance grade. The incumbent performs developmental assignments intended to broaden knowledge and skills to reach the full performance level. The purpose of this position is to establish a career ladder developmental position which allows progressively higher-level duties and responsibilities to be performed leading to successful promotion.
What You'll Do
- →As an, Emergency Management Specialist (COOP) (Continuity of Operations Manager), GS- 0089-12, your typical work assignments may include: Performing developmental assignments in emergency management and Continuity of Operations (COOP) designed to broaden knowledge and skills.
- →Participating in planning, developing, and implementing continuity and emergency management programs to support agency operations.
- →Assisting in analyzing program requirements and developing procedures and guidance related to emergency preparedness and continuity planning.
- →Supporting testing, training, and exercises (TT&E) to evaluate readiness and effectiveness of continuity plans.
- →Assisting in coordinating emergency management activities with internal and external stakeholders to ensure continuity of essential functions.
