You will serve as an Electronics Engineer, in the Tactical Electronic Warfare Division, code 576200 of NAVAL RESEARCH LABORATORY.
What You'll Do
- →You will manage all facility update and development projects.
- →You will prepare statement of work, specifications and related documentation necessary for the procurement of facility components and upgrades through either the Supply or Contract divisions.
- →You will schedule and direct all facility activities.
- →You will serve as the lead engineer for laboratory experiments scheduled in the facility.
- →You will generate reports and give briefings on the status of major upgrade projects.
- →You will manage the financial aspects of the facility and coordinate resource requirements that cross section lines.
- →You will monitor experiments for quality assurance and assist with the review and interpretation of data.
Requirements
- ✓Applicants must meet the following basic education requirements of the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) Qualifications Standards Manual: Successful completion of a professional engineering degree.
- ✓Such education must demonstrate the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work of the position.
- ✓OR Current registration as an Engineer Intern (EI), Engineer in Training (EIT), or licensure as a Professional Engineer (PE) by any State, the District of Columbia, Guam, or Puerto Rico.

- ✓OR Successful completion of at least 60 semester hours of courses in the physical, mathematical, and engineering sciences and in engineering that included the courses specified in the basic requirements under paragraph A (above).
- ✓Ordinarily, there should be either an established plan of intensive training to develop professional engineering competence, or several years of prior professional engineering-type experience, e.g., in interdisciplinary positions.
