This position is in the Office of Field Operations (OFO) and reports to the Deputy Associate Administrator. OFO is comprised of 10 regional offices and 66 district offices. The Director of Eastern District Offices provides executive leadership of the eastern half of OFO operations. The portfolio includes regions 1-5 and the district offices in those regions (New England, Atlantic, Mid-Atlantic, Southeast, & Great Lakes). Duty Location will be aligned to a Regional or District office.
What You'll Do
- →Serves as the senior executive responsible for planning, directing, and evaluating Eastern District Offices operations, performance, and alignment with SBA programs and services.
- →Advises the Deputy Associate Administrator on operational status, performance, risks, and strategic direction, recommending improvements to enhance efficiency and service delivery.
- →Directs Eastern District Office leadership across Regions 1 through 5, ensuring consistent implementation of agency priorities, service standards, and operating policies.
- →Ensures field operations comply with SBA statutory requirements, agency policies, and priorities set by OFO and headquarters program offices.
- →Leads efforts to identify and mitigate risks related to fraud, waste, and abuse, promoting strong internal controls and data-informed decision-making.
- →Collaborates with OFO and headquarters leadership to develop and implement strategies, policies, performance measures, and operational plans.
- →Represents Eastern District Offices in agency discussions, elevating field perspectives and coordinating input from regional and district leadership.
- →Oversees stakeholder engagement and outreach, fostering strong relationships with partners, communities, and customers.
Requirements
