About the Role
This Senior Executive Service (SES) position is in the Office of Air and Radiation, Office of Clean Air Programs, Industrial Processing and Power Division. About the Office of Air and Radiation. This is an office-centered position--you must physically report to one of the duty stations stated in this announcement on a regular basis (location TBD after candidate selected).
What You'll Do
- →The Industrial Processing and Power Division (IPPD) protects human health and the environment through regulatory programs and initiatives that reduce emissions and health impacts from air pollutants emitted by stationary sources such as power plants, industrial boilers, steel mills, mining operations, foundries, metals fabrication, refining and chemicals facilities, and bulk liquid storage.
- →Collaborating with other OCAP divisions, the broader Agency, and external stakeholders and governments, IPPD leads the development of emissions control strategies that rely on a combination of market-driven technology and practices, alternative compliance options, and incentives to achieve public health and environmental goals.
- →Working with state, local, and tribal regulators, industry, small businesses, communities, other OAR offices, and other stakeholders, IPPD develops nationwide regulatory standards and policy guidance that balance public health protection, economic stability, and legal considerations.
Requirements
- ✓You must be a U.S.
- ✓If you are selected, you must complete a 1-year SES probationary period, if not previously completed.
- ✓The Ethics in Government Act, P.L. 95-521, requires the applicant selected for this position to submit a financial disclosure statement, OGE-278, prior to assuming the SES position, annually, and upon termination of employment.
