What You'll Do
- →Serves as Chief Information Officer and Director, G-6 for US Army Transformation and Training Command (T2COM).
- →Exercises broad authority to act on all matters within the functional areas of Command, Control, Communications, Computers, Data Literacy and Analytics, Cybersecurity, and Information Technology Business System management for T2COM.
- →Serves as T2COM's principal staff member responsible for information technology (IT) and Chief Information Officer (CIO) responsible for managing and implementing the command's C4, Information Management (IM), Records Management, Cybersecurity, Data Analytics, and Business Systems programs.
- →Ensures T2COM activities are provided with requisite Information technology, equipment, training, and logistics, as well as data literacy and analytics, and artificial intelligence (AI) or large language models (LLM) systems and expertise to support all operational missions.
- →Provides leadership and mentorship to T2COM's soldiers and civilians in information technology specialties.
- →Independently anticipates and solves major challenges and addresses strategic policy matters associated with the rapid growth in technology capabilities and concepts impacting T2COM and its subordinate units.
- →Continually evaluates T2COM's IT, AI/LLM, and Systems architectures to find efficiencies and drive toward effective enterprise solutions.
- →Explores and develops policies and procedures to continually improve the command's mission-command procedures and business practices.
- →Serves as the command's primary expert in information management and technology.
- →Provides leadership for IT/IM components of T2COM policy, strategy, and campaign plans.
- →Duties include planning, analyzing, developing, implementing, maintaining, and enhancing the information technology infrastructure, data literacy and analytics, AI/LLM, records management, automated systems, cybersecurity, architectures, and policies within the command.
- →Responsible for an annual budget of approximately $90M.
- →Responsible for the command's cybersecurity posture.
- →Serves as T2COM's authorizing official (AO) for over 200 systems.
Requirements
- ✓CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT: Must be a U.S.
- ✓You will serve a one-year probationary period unless you have previously completed in the SES.
- ✓Complete a Declaration for Federal Employment to determine your suitability for Federal employment, at the time requested by the agency If you are a male applicant born after December 31, 1959, you have registered with the Selective Service System or are exempt from having to do so.
- ✓You must be able to submit and pass designated and/or Random Drug Testing as required.
- ✓File a Confidential Financial Disclosure Report OGE-278e within 30 days of appointment and annually from then on.
- ✓Appointment is subject to the completion of a favorable suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a background investigation.
- ✓You must be able to obtain/maintain the appropriate clearance and access level for this position.
- ✓Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
- ✓Direct deposit of pay is required.
- ✓The incumbent is required to travel on both scheduled and unscheduled aircraft, and other modes as required, under conditions specified under the DoD Joint Travel Regulations.
- ✓The incumbent is expected to travel on short notice to attend high level meetings to obtain resolution of problems and gather information to assist in the decision-making process.
- ✓Mobility: Individuals selected for Army SES positions may be subject to reassignment that requires them to be mobile.
- ✓Army senior leadership considers mobility to be an integral part of employment as an SES member with the Department of the Army.
- ✓You must sign a mobility agreement.
