What You'll Do
- →This position is located in the American Indian Environmental Office (AIEO), in the Office of International and Tribal Affairs (OITA) of the U.S.
- →Environmental Protection Agency (EPA).
- →The American Indian Environmental Office leads EPA's efforts to protect human health and the environment of federally recognized tribes by supporting implementation of Federal environmental laws consistent with the Federal trust responsibility, the government-to government relationship, and EPA's 1984 Indian Policy.
- →The AIEO is responsible for providing administrative, scientific, and technical direction for all activities assigned to AIEO.
- →AIEO works to reinvigorate tribal partnerships, strengthen implementation of EPA's Tribal Program, and to lead Federal collaboration in helping achieve common tribal program missions.
- →This position reports to and serves as a Senior Advisor to the Assistant Administrator (AA) for International and Tribal Affairs, as well as managing and directing the American Indian Environmental Office as its Office Director.
Requirements
- ✓You must be a U.S.
- ✓If you are selected, you must complete a 1-year SES probationary period, if not previously completed.
- ✓The Ethics in Government Act, P.L. 95-521, requires the applicant selected for this position to submit a financial disclosure statement, OGE-278, prior to assuming the SES position, annually, and upon termination of employment.
- ✓REAL ID requirements became effective on 05/07/25.
- ✓You will receive information about alternative acceptable documents (e.g., passport) prior to onboarding.
