NIST is seeking a Dimensional Metrology Technician in the Dimensional Metrology group of the Sensor Science Division. This position involves performing high-precision dimensional metrology calibrations and measurement services to support NIST's mission in measurement science.
What You'll Do
- →As a Dimensional Metrology Technician, you will be responsible for conducting dimensional metrology, calibrations, and measurement services.
- →The Candidate will: Perform precise calibrations of gauge blocks, thread standards, wires, precision spheres, and other dimensional artifacts in accordance with established measurement procedures.
- →Maintain the integrity, traceability, and quality of measurement services while supporting efficient laboratory operations and ensuring the timely processing of calibration workloads.
- →Prepare calibration reports and measurement uncertainty budgets, monitor statistical process control parameters, and ensure compliance with laboratory quality system requirements.
Requirements
