What You'll Do
- →The United States Space Force (USSF) at WPAFB, Dayton, OH is searching for a Counterspace Directed Energy Weapons Team Lead to support NSIC S9 (GG-0132-13).
- →Description: The 2nd Intelligence Analysis Squadron within the National Space Intelligence Center is seeking a Directed Energy Weapons Team Lead position, GG-0132-13.
- →This flight is responsible for assessing characteristics, performance, limitations, vulnerabilities, tactics and engagements of orbital ASAT weapons, providing integrated, forensic and predictive, counterspace threat intelligence for military operations, force modernization, and policy making communities.
- →In this role, you will be responsible for planning, organizing, and directing the analysis of a team and collaborating with cross-functional teams to identify and prioritize project requirements based on customer needs.
- →Ideal Candidate: We are seeking an Orbital Warfare Team Lead, specialized in counterspace Directed Energy Weapons, to join our high-demand, growing mission area.
- →You will be responsible for leading a team of analysts with intelligence, science, and engineering backgrounds to deliver all-source intelligence analysis on adversary orbital anti-satellite (ASAT) threats.
- →The ideal candidate possesses a strong background in foreign counterspace systems and sub-systems, with specific emphasis on laser, radio-frequency (RF), and high-power microwave expertise, in addition to an understanding of space system design and employment concepts.
- →As a Team Lead, the ideal candidate possesses excellent leadership, mentoring, and communication skills and has experience with project management and conducting product reviews consistent with Intelligence Community Directives.
- →Key Skills and Abilities: 1.
- →Knowledge of the full range of intelligence research and collection methods, techniques, and practices to use multi-source intelligence information systems related to satellite communications (SATCOM) architecture, radio frequency (RF) signals and the electromagnetic spectrum. 2.
- →Knowledge of advanced analytical principles, concepts, and methods to produce detailed analyses of complex information/situations attained from multiple sources for the characterization, analysis and reporting of RF communications externals (COMEXT) data in support of operational and intelligence assessments. 3.
- →Knowledge of the national intelligence community, Joint, DoD structure, organizations, and mission/functions, interrelationships, space operations, and intelligence communities' electromagnetic interference (EMI) resolution process and key external customers. 4.
- →Skill in conducting unbiased complex research, communication, identifying appropriate available systems/data sources, and producing collection requirement assessments that answer specific tasks to link and leverage agency capabilities in support of consumers, customers, and clients. 5.
- →Skill in communicating effectively with others, both orally and in writing, in working out solutions to problems or questions related to the work, writing clear and concise intelligence products, and delivering written and/or verbal presentations to senior level audiences for decision-making purposes. 6.
