What You'll Do
- →You will serve as a member of a multi-disciplinary team providing scientific, technical, and professional cost guidance on all aspects of acquisition programs.
- →You will review and assess overall acquisition program progress and develop cost estimates and analysis based on planned technical and schedule parameters.
- →You will ensure all cost analysis is based on current program information, liaising with engineers, Integrated Product Team (IPT) leads, and contractor representatives.
- →You will prepare and defend program plans to develop funding requirements and life cycle cost profiles, and track and manage financial performance for assigned programs.
- →You will assemble and provide information and advice regarding assigned program areas to senior officials in the chain-of command.
- →You will maintain technical expertise through continuing professional education and training, symposiums, and liaison with other appropriate Navy and DOD activities.
Requirements

- ✓OPM guidance indicates that there should be either an established plan of intensive training to develop professional engineering competence, or several years of prior professional engineering-type experience.
- ✓This training plan or experience must be well documented and provided at time of application.) For the 1515 series: Degree: in operations research; or at least 24 semester hours in a combination of operations research, mathematics, probability, statistics, mathematical logic, science, or subject-matter courses requiring substantial competence in college-level mathematics or statistics.
- ✓At least 3 of the 24 semester hours must have been in calculus.
