About the Position: The pay band NH-03 includes the General Schedule grade equivalent to GS-12/13. Other initiatives under the Acquisition Demonstration Project include simplified classification, streamlined hiring process and expanded developmental opportunities.
What You'll Do
- →Serves a contract specialist with responsibility for contracting for research and development of military items and associated spare parts as well as high level technical or professional service contracting with industry.
- →Responsible for prototypes for use in testing, design, and fabrication of items and systems for which no current firm configuration baseline exists, in support of projects as directed.
- →Responsible for the performance of a complete analysis of all the technical SOWs.
- →Answers inquiries from interested commercial firms and educational and non-profit institutions concerning RFQ s, RFP s, and/or their proposals and furnishes desired information.
- →Coordinates with the negotiating team any technical changes that must be made and ensure that they are feasible.
- →Evaluates survey(s) and makes recommendations to the contracting officer whether or not to exclude potential supplier from the competitive range, whether further negotiations would enhance the proposed contractor s competitive standing, etc.
