About the Role
This vacancy is for a GS-1102-9, Contract Specialist located in the Department of Homeland Security, U.S. Coast Guard, BASE NEW ORLEANS PROCUREMENT and CONTRACTING DEPARTMENT -S in NEW ORLEANS, Louisiana.
What You'll Do
- →You will serve as a Contract Specialist and be responsible for procurement to support USCG Base New Orleans.
- →Being a Coast Guard civilian makes you a valuable member of the Coast Guard team.
- →Typical work assignments include: Reviews routine requests for procurement.
- →Analyzes the requirements, recommends revisions to the performance work statement.
- →Analyzes bids/proposals for compliance with the solicitation.
- →Performs price analysis, including review of pricing data to clarify reasonable bids.
- →Must be able to obtain and maintain a Federal Acquisition Certification in Contracting (FAC-C) ; also a valid Contracting Officer's Warrant at the level Simplified Acquisition level.
- →Failure to obtain or maintain these credentials may result in removal from the position.
