About the Role
This position is located in the Federal Student Aid, Office of Strategic Acquisition Planning (ENS), Contracts Operations Division (ENSO). The core mission of the U.S. Department of Education (ED) Office of Federal Student Aid (FSA) is to administer the federal financial aid programs under Title IV of the Higher Education Act of 1965.

Requirements

- ✓Current Contract Specialist must provide a copy of their Federal Acquisitions Certification in Contracting (FAC-C) (Professional) or equivalent.
- ✓Applicants must obtain and maintain Federal Acquisitions Certification in Contracting (FAC-C) (Professional) within 12 months of the hiring date.
- ✓This position has a positive education requirement.
- ✓A 4-year course of study leading to a bachelor's degree with a major in any field; or At least 24 semester hours in any combination of the following fields: accounting, business, finance, law, contracts, purchasing, economics, industrial management, marketing, quantitativemethods, or organization and management.
- ✓Foreign Education: Education completed in foreign colleges or universities may be used to meet education requirements if you can show that the foreign education is comparable to that received in an accredited educational institution in the United States.

- ✓If you are using foreign education to meet qualification requirements, you must submit a Certificate of Foreign Equivalency with your transcript in order to receive credit for that education.
