About the Role
This position is Non-appropriated Fund (NAF) and will be assigned to the Air Force Services Center at Port San Antonio, TX. This is a regular full-time category position with guaranteed 40 hrs. per week. Employees appointed to a regular category position are eligible for benefits.
What You'll Do
- →Serves as training instructor for the AFNAFPO training and certification program.
- →Serves as instructor for the Internet Based Purchasing System (IBPS) training program.
- →Develops curriculum, implements. and conducts NAF Purchasing courses for eligible personnel.
- →Works independently to develop criteria, evaluate, and modify existing lesson plans and develop new courses.
- →Coordinates with bases and conducts educational needs and interest surveys, develops programs determined necessary, and recommends program changes as needed.
- →Conducts AFNAFPO contract training programs for all eligible NAFIs.
- →Issues and monitors NAF contracting officer warrants.
- →Provides assistance with NAF contracting policy.
- →Maintains currency in developments in the education field and NAF policy and procedures: updates information as changes occur.
- →Assists in the development of guidance materials to explain regulatory and policy changes.
- →Schedules office personnel in career or educational development.
- →Briefs Services personnel and other DoD components on AFNAFPO programs. policies and procedures.
- →Prepares and issues solicitation documents. selects appropriate clauses, ensures clear and complete specifications with well defined statements of work and award factors.
- →Negotiates prices, terms, and conditions.
Requirements
- ✓Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify.
- ✓This position does not allow for education substitution.
- ✓FOREIGN EDUCATION: Education completed in foreign colleges or universities may be used to meet the requirements.
- ✓You must show proof the education credentials have been deemed to be at least equivalent to that gained in conventional U.S. education program.
- ✓It is your responsibility to provide such evidence when applying.
