About the Position: This position is part of the Reemployed Annuitants Cadre. Employees occupying these positions will provide emergency support to disaster-stricken areas throughout the United States. This position is a temporary position not to exceed (NTE) 1-year, however, at the discretion of management, the position may be converted to a term position up to a maximum not to exceed (NTE) 4-years.
What You'll Do
- →Provide technical assistance and support on the review of project plans and specifications to determine site compatibility and anticipated problems.
- →Inform contractors on requirements concerning construction scheduling, progress reporting, work acceptance procedures, safety measures, wage and hour law observance.
- →Investigate all phases of project construction to ensure compliance with contract schedules, specifications, and shop drawings.
- →Confer with contractors concerning sufficiency and suitability of equipment being used and number of workers employed.
- →Review contractor's partial payment estimates for items of work claimed, verifying lump-sum and unit price items for units of accomplishment.
