About the Role

This position is eligible for the Education Debt Reduction Program (EDRP), a student loan payment reimbursement program. You must meet specific eligibility requirements per VHA policy and submit your EDRP application within four months of appointment. Program Approval, award amount (up to $200,000) & eligibility period (one to five years) are determined by the VHA Education Loan Repayment Services program office after review of the EDRP application. Former EDRP participants ineligible to apply.

What You'll Do

  • Eligible applications will be reviewed and referred in the following order: 1.
  • Current permanent VA employees of the facility. 2.
  • All other VA employees. 3.
  • Current permanent Federal employees of other agencies. 4.
  • All other applicants.
  • Note: Veterans' Preference is not applicable to VA employees or employees of other Federal agencies.
  • VA Careers - Pharmacy: https://youtube.com/embed/Fn_ickNBEws Administrative Assists the HBPC Program manager in the identification and development of new clinical responsibilities for HBPC Clinical Pharmacists and in the planning to meet their staff development requirements.
  • Performs other administrative duties as assigned by the Chief, Pharmacy Service and the Program Manager, HBPC.
  • Clinical Interfaces with HBPC providers and staff in the design of the veteran's treatment regimen.
  • Independently works in the assigned area as a mid-level provider designing medication therapy management (MTM) for patients and providing Comprehensive Medication Management (CMM) for appropriate HBPC patients.
  • Serves as an authoritative information source on drugs and their utilization in therapy.
  • Evaluates the drug literature by analysis of experimental design and methodology, in order to compare and contrast therapeutic regimens and roles for new drugs.
  • Attends weekly interdisciplinary meetings to review patient care plans, provide patient specific recommendations, and conduct timely follow up on discussed issues.
  • Conducts comprehensive medication counseling and education for patients and family members on complicated medication regimens or for those having difficultywith their medication regimens.

  • Participation in the seasonal influenza vaccination program is a requirement for all Department of Veterans Affairs Health Care Personnel (HCP).
