This is a Direct Hire Authority (DHA) solicitation utilizing the DHA for Certain Personnel of the DoD Workforce to recruit and appoint qualified candidates to positions in the competitive service. About the Position: Evaluates project objectives, identifying and utilizing the most economical and efficient procedures for project design and construction, considering all functional, and environmental requirements, and available execution tools.
What You'll Do
- →Develops and reviews engineering designs and the preparation of contract documents, which consist of plans, specifications and construction cost estimates.
- →Manages project through contract and completion.
- →Coordinates designs of proposed changes of specifications of buildings, systems and structures with staff and senior professional engineers of other engineering disciplines.
- →Develops criteria for civil engineering features to be used by architectural-engineering firms in preparing designs.
- →Serves as Project Manager, provides construction oversight and quality assurance for civil engineering related projects.
- →Responsible for the technical accuracy and adequacy of construction and maintenance projects within the facilities - $750,000/2,000,000 approval authority.
- →Designs civil, sanitary engineering and structural systems and facilities, such as buildings, walls, roads, storm drain and sanitary sewer systems, houses and training facilities.
