This is a Direct Hire Authority (DHA) solicitation utilizing the DHA for Certain Personnel of the DoD Workforce to recruit and appoint qualified candidates to positions in the competitive service. About the Position: This position is for the Southern California Area Office, Vandenberg SFB Resident Office located on Vandenberg SFB, California. Recruitment incentives may be offered to highly qualified candidates.
What You'll Do
- →Serve as a Project Engineer responsible for performing and directing the full range of field engineering activities associated with construction operations at a Project Office.
- →Plan, schedule, monitor, and control the full range of construction operations.
- →Participate in design review conferences; perform BCO reviews; conduct site showings; conduct or participate in preconstruction conferences; coordinate construction planning and scheduling with contractors.
- →Prepare replies to Facilities Engineers or Base Civil Engineers on status of construction; letters to contractors concerning safety matters, or to resolve differences of opinion over plans and specifications.
- →Conduct a variety of briefings and participates in meetings with users, contractors, manufacturers, designers, District Office personnel, to include staff chiefs and the District Engineer or his deputies, etc.
