Organizational Location: This position is with the Department of Homeland Security, within U.S. Customs and Border Protection, Office of Field Operations, Atlanta Field Office in Greenville, SC. Additional selections may be made for other organizational divisions and/or units within the duty location(s) listed above.

- →In this position, you will provide a full range of technical and clerical activities in support of CBP Officers (CBPO), CBP Agriculture Specialists (CBPAS), Entry/Import Specialists, and Fines, Penalties and Forfeiture (FPF) Officers.

- →In this CBP Technician position you will become a key team member of Homeland Security professionals performing technical duties requiring application of specialized knowledge of procedures, techniques, regulations, and information.
- →Typical work assignments include: Providing a full range of technical and clerical activities in support of functions and programs of the office.
- →Filling out entry documents for non-citizens and assisting with immigrant visa processing, supplying forms to applicants for admission, tracking applications and actions, and clerical preparations.
- →Executing front desk duties for these programs, to include answering calls, checking-in applicants, verifying records, establishing an applicant's claimed identity, fingerprinting and photographing applicants, answering inquiries, tracking reports, cashier duties, and other general administrative duties.
- →Working alongside the CBPAS during passenger and pedestrian secondary inspections by reviewing and analyzing images from non- intrusive inspection (e.g., X-ray) equipment on such items as packages, passenger baggage, and cargo.
- →Providing essential support to CBPOs and CBPASs by inspecting, gathering, and recording information concerning persons, cargo, conveyances, merchandise, mail, and other miscellaneous items in Ports of Entry, in accordance with established guidelines including laws, regulations, and policies.
