About the Role

About the Position: Serves as a Cartographic Technician specializing in cartographic mapping and Geographic Information Systems (GIS) analysis for the Sustainable Range Program (SRP) located at Fort Sill, OK.

What You'll Do

  • Perform map quality control to ensure compliance with national/district accuracy and format standards using cartographic and Geographic Information Systems (GIS).
  • Analyze data for inclusion into project files, briefing packages, and reports.
  • Provide technical assistance with Geographic Information Systems (GIS) software for development and data implementation plans.
  • Compile data, analyze interrelationships to determine effects of changes between data factors.
  • Integrate digital spatial data for presentation and illustration in narrative and graphic forms to determine military training needs and requirements.
  • Determine the technical tools and software required to complete each military support project
