About the Role
This position is located in the Small Business Administration, Performance Planning and CFO in Washington, DC. The incumbent serves as a senior analyst on all budget, financial management, and program planning activities.
What You'll Do
- →As a/an Budget Analyst at theGS- 0560-14, some of your typical work assignments may include: Analyzes legislation, appropriations language, OMB directives and Treasury Department guidelines pertaining to the Agency's budgeting and planning requirements.
- →Develops budget plans by performing analysis of budget systems, cost standards, cost effectiveness, cost benefit ratios, historical spending, etc.
- →Concurrently translates budget plans into financial management terms.
- →This planning function requires the use of specialized forecasting techniques including statistical, quantitative, economic, trend, and other analyses.
- →Prepares formal consolidation budget forecasts and reports on budget execution required by SBA officials, OMB, and Congress; and coordinates the preparation and execution of the budget for a major segment of the agency's budget.
