About the Role
This position is being filled under the Direct Hire Authority for Certain Personnel of the Department of Defense using hiring authority in 5 USC 9905. DISA has delegated authority by the Under Secretary of Defense to directly appoint qualified candidates possessing a finance, accounting, management, or actuarial science degree, or a related degree from an accredited college or university in a field of study, or equivalent experience, related to the functions of the position to be filled.
What You'll Do
- →Manages, allocates, and executes complex federal budgets, including General Funds (GF) Investment accounts and Defense Working Capital Funds (DWCF), to support agency wide programs and ensure proper use and distribution of funds.
- →Analyzes the impact of federal financial legislation, regulations, and Office of Management and Budget (OMB) circulars to design, implement, and improve fund control procedures and ensure compliance across the organization.
- →Performs complex financial analyses of budgetary data to provide strategic recommendations, authoritative guidance, and advisory services to senior leaders and external stakeholders.
- →Lead the direction of the control and distribution of appropriated investment funds and Defense Working Capital Funds (DWCF) authority during the year of execution, Mid-Year Review (MYR), and End of Year (EOY) processes.
- →Monitors and tracks the use and distribution of appropriated and defense working capital funds, prepares financial reports from the status of funds, and recommends reprogramming actions to meet agency short- and long-term goals.
Requirements
- ✓There is no substitution of education for specialized experience at the GS-14 grade level.
