About the Role
About the Position: Serves as Budget Analyst responsible for assigned Army budget programs. Incumbent performs budget program planning, analysis, execution, and policy advisory functions for assigned programs throughout the command.
What You'll Do
- →Monitors real-time budget execution (obligations and expenditures) to ensure funds are properly allocated, spent in a timely manner, and aligned with authorized management objectives.
- →Analyzing resource data to advise management on unfavorable deviations and corrective actions.
- →Formulates and consolidates command-level budget estimates, interprets fiscal policy/law, and directly executes reprogramming actions and fund transfers to adapt to changing operational requirements while coordinating with higher headquarters.
- →Provides technical expertise on Army appropriations, establishes budgetary ceilings, and develops fund control policies and systems to ensure optimal, compliant use of available funds and manpower prior to fiscal year-end closeout.
- →Analyzes current and future-year Command Operating Programs, reviews command-level guidance and maintains strict compliance with federal legislation and Army regulations to support long-term budgetary planning and execution
