About the Role
This position is located in the Office of Inspector General (OIG) of the Railroad Retirement Board (RRB), Office of Audit (OA), Chicago, Illinois.
What You'll Do
- →The primary purpose of this position is to function as the Auditor-in-Charge on small assignments, and as an audit team member on larger or more complex assignments.
- →Duties performed: Assists in planning audit procedures of complex programs and operations in accordance with Generally Accepted Government Auditing Standards (GAGAS).
- →Actively participates in audit entrance and exit conferences.
- →Analyzes and revises audit plans in accordance with GAGAS.
- →Reviews and improves audit plans focusing on eliminating waste, eliminating abuse, and detecting and preventing fraud.
- →Conducts a variety of audits, including but not limited to financial statement audits, information technology audits, Medicare audits, and performance audits.
- →Prepares audit workpapers to summarize activities contained in the written audit plan.
- →Develops all five elements of the audit finding and develops conclusions to each audit objective.

- ✓Financial Disclosure: If you are hired, you may be required to complete a Confidential Financial Disclosure Report (OGE Form 450) within 30 days after appointment.
- ✓This position requires specific coursework and/or a degree to meet the basic education requirement.
