About the Role
This position is part of the National Archives and Records Administration. The incumbent will work in the Office of Inspector General (OIG) serving as a technical authority, responsible for the entire audit lifecycle-from formulating original audit approaches for novel problems to interpreting obscure or conflicting laws and regulations. Their work involves resolving long-standing problem areas of vital importance to the agency and directing resources.
What You'll Do
- →As an Auditor (Performance/IT), you will: Prepare and conduct audits and program evaluations which focus on audit and evaluation objectives..
- →Communicate report findings and provide recommendations to improve programs and internal controls.
- →Plan, organize and direct the operations of assigned Generally Accepted Government Auditing Standards (GAGAS) audits to ensure an efficient and economical use of assigned resources.
- →Review corrective actions on prior audit findings and evaluate the adequacy of those corrective actions.
- →Prepare various types of reports, briefings, and testimony that covers internal control weaknesses for NARA programs and major IT systems.

- ✓File a Confidential Financial Disclosure Report within 30 days of appointment and annually from then on.
