About the Role
This position is assigned to the Office of Audits (JA), Office of Inspector General (OIG), General Services Administration (GSA). Location of position: GSA Office of Inspector General Office of Audits Finance & Administration Audit Office (JA-F) 1800 F St NW Washington, D.C. 20405 We are currently filling one vacancy, but additional vacancies may be filled as needed.
What You'll Do
- →The Office of Audits (JA) has a goal of improving GSA, while simultaneously protecting the integrity of its operations.
- →This office accomplishes its mission by identifying and reporting on the challenges facing GSA management.
- →JA conducts programmatic performance audits of GSA's operations and activities, implementation reviews, and/or contract audits.
- →The Office of Audits also oversees financial statement audits and compliance with the Federal Information Security Management Act (FISMA) As an Auditor, your work will include the following responsibilities: Serves on a team conducting performance audits to assist higher grade level auditors in determining areas of high risk during an audit.
- →Assists in planning and performing contractor oversight for the financial statement's audits in accordance with applicable standards.
- →Collects and compiles audit evidence from interviews, inquiries, and record reviews and data analyses.
- →Conducts analyof work related to developing and executing agency policies and programs.
- →Reviews reports consisting of a systematic examination and appraisal of financial records.
- →Responsible for applying established criteria to collected audit evidence to identify inconsistencies, anomalies, or exceptions.
Requirements
- ✓If selected, you must meet the following conditions: Receive authorization from OPM on any job offer you receive, if you are or were (within the last 5 years) a political Schedule A, Schedule C or Non-Career SES employee in the Executive Branch.
- ✓Serve a one year probationary period, if required.
- ✓Undergo and pass a background investigation (Tier 3 investigation level).
- ✓Have your identity and work status eligibility verified if you are not a GSA OIG employee.
- ✓We will use the Department of Homeland Security's e-Verify system for this.
- ✓Any discrepancies must be resolved as a condition of continued employment.
- ✓Complete a financial disclosure report to verify that no conflict, or an appearance of conflict, exists between your financial interest and this position.
- ✓Direct Deposit of salary check to financial organization required.
- ✓Meet all eligibility criteria within 30 days of the closing date Register with the Selective Service if you are a male born after 12/31/1959 Meet time-in-grade within 30 days of the closing date, if applicable US Citizenship or National (Residents of American Samoa and Swains Island)
