About the Role
This position is an auditor in the Office of Audits, Inspections, and Evaluations, Office of Inspector General at the U.S. National Science Foundation.
What You'll Do
- →As an auditor, you will be responsible for the following: Review applicable laws, regulations, and policies to determine audit criteria Collect and analyze data to evaluate program performance and compliance.
- →Design audit procedures to address identified risks and objectives.
- →Evaluate internal controls to determine effectiveness and identify weaknesses.
- →Perform audit procedures/steps to support findings and conclusions.
- →Document audit work in workpapers to support results and meet standards.
- →Apply Generally Accepted Government Auditing Standards or other applicable requirements to ensure audit quality.
- →Identify and develop audit findings to answer audit objectives and deficiencies or risks.
- →Prepare draft audit reports to communicate findings and recommendations.
- →Evaluate the sufficiency and appropriateness of audit evidence to support conclusions.
- →Provide technical guidance to team members to support audit execution.
- →Lead segments of audit engagements to ensure completion of assigned objectives.
