About the Role
The incumbent serves as a Forensic Auditor in the Financial Investigative Services Division (FISD) within the Office of Science and Technology (OST), Financial Investigative Services Division. FISD is comprised of professionally credentialed Forensic Auditors who provide comprehensive financial investigative services supporting criminal investigations under the Bureau's jurisdiction.
What You'll Do
- →The major duties of the Forensic Auditor GS-0511-12 position include, but are not limited to, the following: Provides advice and assistance to ATF Special Agents and to federal, state, and local prosecutors as to his/her findings regarding the financial condition, sources, and uses of funds, and/or other financial aspects of the investigation.
- →Plans and conducts financial investigations of persons or entities suspected of being involved in criminal schemes.
- →Prepares reports, exhibits, and/or charts summarizing their findings depending on the nature of the assignment and the needs of the end user.
- →Research applicable databases and analyzes pertinent financial records and provides investigative leads based on results of interviews and financial analysis.
- →Provides formal and informal training to ATF and/or non-ATF personnel in financial investigative techniques, auditing, or related fields.

- ✓Citizen or National Selective Service registration is required for males born on, or after, December 31, 1959.
- ✓Those not registered should have an approved exemption on file.
- ✓May be required to serve a one-year probationary period.
- ✓Pass drug screening and subject to random drug test.
- ✓Suitable for Federal employment determined by background investigation.
- ✓You must meet all applicable time-in-grade requirements by the closing of this announcement.
