About the Role
This position is located in the Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA), Inspection Division, Office of Inspection, Audit Unit (INSA). This position(s) primary purpose is to support the Inspection Division (IG), Office of Inspection (IN), Inspection Support Section (INS), Audit Unit (INSA). Serves as a Auditor with responsibility to conduct and complete Performance, Financial and Attestation Audit assignments throughout DEA.
What You'll Do
- →As a Auditor, your typical work assignments may include: Participating in performing objective analysis and systematic evaluation assignments to provide independent assessments of the performance of DEA organizations, its programs, activities, and/or functions by conducting complete or segments of audits of internal programs, special reviews, and on-site inspections.
- →Assisting in developing and/or participating in the development of proposals for audits, surveys, special reviews, programs, functions, and systems.
- →Participating in the planning, conducting, and reporting on the audit, surveys, special reviews of financial programs and/or the integrated financial operations and other types of financial information for organizations throughout DEA, its programs, activities, and functions.
- →Actively participating in developing audit approaches and formulating plans for work assignments.
- →Prepares working papers and files in accordance with Government Auditing Standards, DOJ and DEA policies.
- →Completing assignments in support of the performance of the most complex analysis and evaluations related to all aspects of accounting, management control and risk management.
