About the Role
THIS IS A NATIONAL GUARD TITLE 5 EXCEPTED SERVICE POSITION. This National Guard position is for a AUDITOR, Position Description Number T5145P01 and is part of the UNITED STATES PROPERTY AND FISCAL OFFICE, National Guard. This vacancy does not meet the criteria for appointment of annuitants. Veteran's Preference does not apply due to this being a Professional Series position. There are two positions available.
What You'll Do
- →As an Auditor, GS-0511-11/12, you will serve as an agent of the United States Property and Fiscal Officer on accounting, financial, and managerial issues that require examination by a financial professional.
- →You will perform quick response reviews, consulting and advisory services, risk management, liaison with external audit organizations, audit compliance and follow-up, and a variety of staff and systems accounting duties to analyze accounting records and to enhance the financial reports and operational data used by local management.
- →Position is located in the United States Property and Fiscal Office (USPFO).
- →Incumbent reports to the Internal Review Division Chief.
- →As senior evaluator, incumbent performs the most difficult work of the unit, and distributes and monitors the workload of lower-graded evaluators and provides advice and assistance to them.
Requirements
- ✓EDUCATION OR COMBINATION OF EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: 1.
- ✓Degree: auditing; or a degree in a related field such as business administration, finance, public administration or accounting.
- ✓Combination of education and experience: at least 4 years of experience in Performance Auditing, or an equivalent combination of performance auditing experience, college-level education, and training that provided professional auditing knowledge.
- ✓The applicant's background must also include one of the following: A certificate as a Certified Internal Auditor or a Certified Public Accountant, obtained through written examination; or Completion of the requirements for a degree that included substantial course work in auditing or accounting, e.g., 15 semester hours.
- ✓You must provide Official Transcripts as documentation to support your Educational claims.
- ✓To receive credit for Education, you must provide documentation of proof that you meet the Education requirements for this position.
