About the Role
About the Position: This position is located with the Office of the General Counsel, Deputy General Counsel for Ethics and Fiscal at Arlington, VA. If you are currently serving in a permanent, competitive service appointment in the Federal service, and are selected for this position, the appointment will remove you from the competitive service while you occupy this position.
What You'll Do
- →Reviews, analyzes, and provides legal advice onproposed actions involving the obligation and expenditure of appropriated and non-appropriatedfunds.
- →Provides both written and oral advice on the legality, propriety, and desirability of proposed actions.
- →Formulates, plans, and assists in the execution of the Army's Ethics Program.
- →Provides legal advice on a variety of complex ethics issues.
- →Represents the Army's position in discussions of legal interpretations of ethics laws and regulations and formulation of policy proposals.
- →Provides direct support to Army organizations to ensure program and policy compliance of the Army's Ethics Program.
- →Prepares written legal opinions and furnishes advice on questions of law and policy pertaining to the interpretation and application of ethics laws and regulations.
- →Assists in the management of the financial disclosure reporting system for all Public Financial Disclosure Reports (OGE 278) for the civilian presidential appointees Advises and assists Congressional Committees and their staffs in drafting legislation and giving expert advice on budgetary, fiscal or major program policy matters affecting the Army.
