About the Position: Office of the Chief of Staff of the Army, This position is located at HQDA, Office of General Counsel, Labor and Employment Law Division, Pentagon, Arlington, VA If you are currently serving in a permanent, competitive service appointment in the Federal service, and are selected for this position, the appointment will remove you from the competitive service while you occupy this position.
What You'll Do
- →Serves as a senior Army trial attorney with responsibility for planning and accomplishing diversified legal work pertaining to the litigation of civilian personnel, labor relations and EEO complaints.
- →Incumbent must exercise independent judgment involving trends in the law and department policy.
- →Serves as a lead attorney in the most difficult cases requiring more that one attorney as agency representative.
- →Incumbent independently performs the full range of litigation responsibilities.
- →Provides oral and written legal advice and technical legal guidance.
- →Legal counsel to the Army Secretariat, Army Staff, and Field Operating/Staff Support Agencies.
- →Provides oversight, guidance, technical advice, training, and professional assistance to over 250 military and civilian attorneys world-wide who are part of the Army Labor Counselor Program.
