About the Role
The primary purpose of this position is to support the Staff Judge Advocate (SJA) as a senior attorney, providing legal advice and counsel for the most complex, often precedential, installation level cases in administrative law, claims, environmental law, contract law, labor law, and international law, to Headquarters, AFMC, AFLCMC, 88th Air Base Wing, Wright Patterson Air Force Base tenant units and Geographically Separated Units (GSUs).
What You'll Do
- →As a senior attorney, advises Headquarters, AFMC, AFLCMC, and 88th Air Base Wing Commander, as well as subordinate, tenant unit, and GSU commanders and managers, on a host of general law matters. 2.
- →For the most complex installation legal issues, prepares for and represents the OAF/installation and its legal interests in correspondence, meetings, negotiations, and judicial and administrative hearings, involving federal, state, and local (and overseas, foreign) officials, parties with adverse interests, and commercial entities. 3.
- →Provides legal assistance to active-duty military, dependents, eligible Department of Defense (DoD) civilians, retirees, and other DoD cardholders, consistent with Air Force Instructions (AFls) and legal office policy.
Requirements
- ✓Must be a graduate of a law school accredited by the American Bar Association, and be currently licensed as an attorney, in active (or equivalent) status and in good standing, with the bar of a U.S. state, territory, or commonwealth.
- ✓The attorney must maintain such bar membership in at least one jurisdiction during the entire course of employment with the Air Force.
