Assistant Commissary Officers fully participate in managing all store activities, providing advice and guidance to other store division managers as needed, and assisting managers in developing major programs and departmental goals and objectives. Through subordinate supervisors they are directly responsible for the Front End, Customer Service and Store Operations Departments. What You'll Do
- →Serve as the Assistant Commissary officer, responsible for all store administration functions, fully share in the overall management, direction and control of the commissary.
- →Analyze a variety of management reports to determine efficiency of operations and to recommend or implement changes.
- →Develop budget estimates and monitor program obligations and expense targets.
- →Act as store sanitation coordinator; establish controls for prevention of pilferage and ensure that sanitation, safety and security precautions are observed.
- →Responsible for all personnel functions within the commissary, such as staffing, recruitment and the development of performance standards.
- →Promote DeCA goals and objectives of the EEO and Affirmative Action Program.
- →Represent the commissary at a variety of commander's meetings, such as the Commissary Advisory Council and Base Civil Engineering meetings.
- →Monitor surveys, customer service training, and customers' suggestions and ideas
Requirements

- ✓Foreign education may be qualifying if a private organization specializing in interpreting foreign education programs has deemed the foreign education equivalent to that gained in an accredited U.S. education program or a U.S. accredited college or university has given full credit for the foreign courses.

- ✓Department of Education accredited colleges, universities, schools, or institutions listing your name, the name of the school, the date and degree awarded, and the list of classes and credits earned are acceptable for the application process.

- ✓When relying on foreign education, submit transcripts and a copy of the equivalency evaluation results letter with a course by course listing.
