Serves as a NAS Area Specialist for the Service Operations Center (SOC).
What You'll Do
- →Performs a variety of functions using technical expertise and knowledge of complex systems, emerging technology, systems interrelationships, and management of the NAS that directly relate to NAS operation.
- →Provides complete services and support to air traffic customers and other NAS users over a large geographic area with a focus on the availability and reliability of the facilities, services, and equipment.
- →Collaborate with multiple customers to shutdown and restore facilities, services, and equipment to minimize disruption of services to the flying public.
- →Initiates action for the timely repair and/or restoration of facilities, services and equipment, taking into account the availability of back-up systems, possible reconfiguration to minimize service interruptions, and the relative criticality of particular functions to the safe and efficient operations of the NAS.
- →Ensure all NAS events are logged appropriately in Maintenance Management System (MMS) and/or Event Manager.
- →Responsibilities include planning, directing, coordinating, and monitoring maintenance activities associated with the management of the NAS with a high degree of independence from supervisor.
- →May be assigned other duties in support of the NAS.
