This is an Air Reserve Technician (ART) position. ARTs are part of the regular career civil service and enjoy all the benefits granted to Federal employees in the competitive civil service. In addition, ARTs are required to maintain their active membership in the AF Reserve unit where assigned. ARTs receive on average one weekend of military training per month. What You'll Do
- →Plan on weekly or monthly basis the use of subordinate workers, equipment, facilities and materials in an organizational segment or group.
- →Maintain balanced workload between subordinate work groups or individuals.
- →Assign work to individuals and provide technical direction and/or help in accomplishing difficult work steps and processes.
- →Inspect completed work for quality and work order requirements.
- →Advise employees on performance expectations and explain new work techniques, as required.
- →Maintain work reports and records relating to section, e.g., progress, production, cost, personnel, equipment, materials and time and attendance.
- →Apply Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO)/Equal Opportunity Treatment (EOT) principles and requirements to all personnel management actions and decision and ensure all personnel are treated in a manner free of discrimination.
- →Submit reports in accordance with reporting directives.
- →Ensure safety equipment and protective clothing/gear are work when mandated by regulations.
