This is an Air Reserve Technician (ART) position. ARTs are part of the regular career civil service and enjoy all the benefits granted to Federal employees in the competitive civil service. In addition, ARTs are required to maintain their active membership in the AF Reserve unit where assigned. ARTs receive on average one weekend of military training per month. What You'll Do
- →Responsible for the integrated production required to support permanently assigned and transient aircraft, as required.
- →Full supervisory responsibility for all ARTs and AMC or ACC civilians assigned to shift.
- →DUTIES: DUTY 1: Performs work planning responsibilities.
- →Plans on a weekly or monthly basis the use of subordinate workers, equipment, facilities, and materials in an organizational segment or group.
- →Furnishes all daily workload plans covering shift supervisors and team chief assignments for the SGF for a 24 hour day, 7 day a week operation.
- →Establishes deadlines, priorities, and work sequences, and plans work assignments based on general work schedules, methods, and policies set by higher level supervisors.
- →Coordinates work with supporting or related work functions controlled by other supervisors.
- →Determines the number and types of workers needed to accomplish specific projects.
- →Redirects individual workers and resources to accomplish unanticipated work.
- →Instructs and directs sequence of operations and methods employed by subordinates.
- →Informs higher level supervisors of the need to revise work schedules and re-estimate labor and other resources.
- →Participates in meetings and discussions regarding initial planning of current and future work schedules, budget requests, staffing needs, estimates, and recommendations as to scheduling projected work.
- →Maintains a balanced workload between subordinate work groups or individuals.
- →DUTY 2: Performs work direction responsibilities.
