About the Role
About the Position: This is a Term position Not To Exceed 2 years with the Defense Health Agency at the Evans Army Community Hospital located at Fort Carson, Colorado. This is a Direct Hire Solicitation. -A recruitment or relocation incentive may be authorized. -Salary negotiation may be available for those candidates who are new to Federal service. -Student Loan repayment may be authorized. -Non-Federal work experience may be creditable for leave purposes.
What You'll Do
- →Provide comprehensive gynecologic care, to include but not limited to, well women exams, contraceptive care, family planning, and office procedures to include but not limited to colposcopy, biopsies, and contraceptive placement.
- →Evaluate both functional and dysfunctional problems related to the female to include pain, urological complaints, bleeding abnormalities, hormonal dysfunction and infections.
- →Complete obstetrical evaluations, provide plan of care, and hospital admission; provide ongoing assessment of maternal and fetal status, labor progress, and interventions; and order and evaluate laboratory and diagnostic studies.
- →Utilize and perform screening and diagnostic modalities, to include but not limited to, first and third trimester obstetrical ultrasounds and colposcopy for OB/GYN concerns as well as provide primary preventive care and education for women.
- →Provide counseling to patients regarding diagnosis, disease processes, diagnostic testing, and plan of care; serve as a resource consultant regarding the latest advances in midwifery practice; and participate in patient care rounds and conferences.
- →Participate in the development of peer audit processes, involving a systematic review of inpatient and outpatient obstetric and gynecologic records, to ensure the standard of care is met.
