About the Role

What You'll Do
- →You will be responsible for contract close-out of all actions awarded by NIWC PAC Contracts Dept. to include contracts, task/delivery orders, purchase orders, grants and cooperative agreements.
- →You will be responsible for performing administrative actions related to contract close out; e.g., modifications to deobligate excess funding.
- →You will provide consultation and assistance to contracting officers on matters related to contract close-out; e.g., settlement of cost overruns, verification of final receipt of contract deliverables, etc.
- →You will provide direction to subordinate personnel for the processing of patent certifications and final acceptance requests by DCMA and ONR.
- →You will provide direction for the shipment of contract files to federal records upon verification of final close-out.
- →You will be responsible for maintaining the close-out database to reflect the current status of each action and collecting, analyzing and creating report data for senior leadership, data calls.
Requirements
- ✓Applicants must meet the following Basic Education Requirement of the Department of Defense Qualification Standard for Contracting Positions: A bachelor's degree from an accredited educational institution authorized to grant baccalaureate degrees.
- ✓NOTE: The education requirements listed above apply only to individuals entering DoD GS-1102 positions on or after October 1, 2000.
- ✓Current civilian personnel in DoD who occupied GS-1102 positions or contracting positions with authority to award or administer contracts above the simplified acquisition threshold in an Executive Department on or before September 30, 2000 are exempt from meeting this requirement.
- ✓Current military members who occupied a similar occupational specialty to the GS (or equivalent)-1102 or before September 30, 2000 are also exempt from meeting this requirement
