The primary purpose of this ACQUISITION PROGRAM MANAGEMENT SPECIALIST, NH-1101-03 position is to serve as the Acquisition Program Manager liaison and Subject Matter Expert (SME). This role bridges the gap between contracting and program execution teams to resolve complex programmatic challenges and align efforts with mission objectives
What You'll Do
- →Serve as an Acquisition Program Management Specialist with responsibility for the overall management and direction of assigned systems, programs, or projects.
- →Direct, synchronize, and integrate the efforts of a diverse, matrixed team of functional specialists, including but not limited to, contracting, engineering, logistics, financial management, configuration/data management, and/or test and evaluation.
- →Develop and implement comprehensive risk management strategies to identify, assess, and mitigate programmatic risks.
- →Prepares and presents formal briefings, staff studies, acquisition decision memorandums, and other critical correspondence to senior leadership, Program Executive Office (PEO) staff, and external stakeholders to justify program plans, defend budget requirements, and report on program status.
- →Develop and implement comprehensive risk management strategies to identify, assess, and mitigate programmatic risks.
- →Reviews financial and non-financial data.
- →Works with weapons system programmatic, engineering, and logistical staff to develop Rough Order of Magnitudes (ROMs) for acquisition programs and provide inputs for sustainment requirement forecasting repositories and financial systems
