About the Role

About the Position: This Acquisition Analyst position is located at Aberdeen Test Center, S-8 RM Directorate with duty location of Aberdeen Proving Ground, MD. (merit) The incumbent may be non-competitively promoted to the target level of NH-03, upon meeting the following requirements: (a) satisfactory demonstration of ability to perform the work at the higher level; (b) recommendation for promotion by supervisor; and (c) all applicable OPM qualifications.

What You'll Do

  • Develops procurement documents (PWS, IGCE, QASP, J and A, D and F, source selection plans) Advises on acquisition strategies and compliance with statutes, regulations, and DoD/Army policy.
  • Tracks contract spend, burn rate, funding levels, and contractor labor rates.
  • Reviews contracts and deliverables for compliance with FAR and PWS requirements.
  • Evaluates contractor performance, funding execution, and compliance with regulations.
  • Supports short and long term procurement planning and organizational goals.
  • Identifies inconsistencies, risks, or inefficiencies in contract processes.
  • Compiles data for DA/DoD taskers and validates manpower/budget submissions (PDC, CMRA).
  • Analyzes transactions in GFEBS and assists users with financial system issues.
  • Conducts in depth reviews of contract progress and recommends corrective actions.
  • Serves as COR to monitor contractor performance and compliance.
  • Ensures contract awards meet timelines and regulatory requirements.
