What You'll Do
- →NON-APPROPRIATED FUND POSITION DESCRIPTION JOB TITLE: Marketing Technician BUSINESS TITLE: Accounts Executive FLSA: Non exempt JOB SERIES: 1101 PAY LEVEL: NF-3 INTRODUCTION: This position is located in the Marketing Branch of Marine Corps Community Services (MCCS), Okinawa, Japan.
- →The primary purpose of this position is to coordinate marketing requirements between MCCS Marketing and assigned MCCS program and facility managers.
- →This position reports to the Marketing Accounts Manager on status of all advertising campaigns and projects related to MCCS facilities.
- →SUMMARY OF DUTIES: Serves as coordinator between MCCS Marketing and MCCS program and facility managers to understand programs, services, and event marketing requirements and convey these to the project working group consisting of but not limited to the Publishing, Graphic Design, Digital Media and Advertising & Sponsorship Departments.
- →Reviews and tracks all assigned Marketing Support Requests.
- →Assists in generating awareness, demand and revenue for activities through effective marketing.
- →Coordinates a variety of communication methods, tools and technology including oral, written, visual, digital and social media to inform target audience(s) about programs, services, events and policies sponsored by or associated with MCCS operations.
- →Assists in communication, production and promotional requirements including developing exhibits, brochures, posters and other public relations activities for the department.
- →Assists with the coordination of MCCS publicity through editorial and advertisement placement, press releases, brochures, posters, outdoor signage, and other media in print, electronic and digital formats.
- →Monitors and contributes to the administration of the MCCS website, social media sites and other media channels.
- →Reviews outgoing marketing collateral and correspondence for proper grammar, format, accuracy, policy compliance, and adherence to branding guidelines.
- →Independently responds to telephone inquiries, email and other business correspondence.
- →Initiates and prepares correspondence including email, letters, memoranda and messages using various software.
- →Maintains official files and periodically disposes of records in accordance with official disposition instructions.
