What You'll Do
- →The Accounting Technician performs a variety of clerical duties pertaining to the preparation and maintenance of journals, subsidiary ledgers (AP, AR, Payroll, or GL), schedules and recapitulations reflecting various accounting transactions.
- →Receives, analyzes, processes and classifies accounting documents.
- →Reviews documents for validity, budget and expenditure limitation, completeness and correctness of accounting data.
- →Accurately records data into an automated accounting system Reconciles subsidiary accounts with the general ledger using double entry accounting procedures.
- →Maintains required records and ledgers, prepares month-end accounting documents and financial reports, etc.
- →Provides World Class Customer Service with an emphasis on customer centricity, professionalism, and courtesy.
- →Assists customers and communicates positively in a friendly and professional manner.
- →Takes action to solve problems quickly.
- →Alerts the higher-level supervisor, or proper point of contact for help when problems arise.
- →Adheres to safety regulations and standards.
- →Promptly reports any observed workplace hazards, and any injury, occupational illness, and/or property damage resulting from workplace mishaps to the immediate supervisor.
- →Adheres to established standards of actively supporting the principles of the EEO program and prevention of sexual harassment.
- →This is a white-collar position where occasional lifting up to 20 lbs. may be required.
- →Requires the ability to work in an assigned shift with varying hours.
