- →As an Accountant, you will perform the following duties: Manage Construction in Progress (CIP) and Internal Use Software Development (IUSD) accounts by analyzing project activities, maintaining supporting documentation, and preparing capitalization packages Respond to inquiries from internal and external auditors regarding compliance requirements.
- →Ensure National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA), Department of Commerce (DOC), Office of Management and Budget (OMB), Government Accountability Office (GAO), and Federal Accounting Standards Advisory Board (FASAB) standards and policies are being met.
- →Formulate and present financial reports.
- →Research guidance and recommend appropriate accounting treatment for new and/or complex transactions.
- →Evaluate internal controls, identify weaknesses, design and implement corrective action plans to strengthen control environments to ensure financial data is presented accurately and fairly.
Requirements
- ✓This position will be filled under the DOC Alternative Personnel System (CAPS).
- ✓Under CAPS, positions are classified by career, pay plan, and pay band.
- ✓The ZA-4 is equivalent to the GS-13/14.
- ✓Key Requirements: Applicants must be U.S.
